Nancy O'Dell's debut work in the industry of broadcast was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She worked later as morning news anchor for WCBD TV and was an investigative reporter. O'Dell's reports in Charleston about the police's leniency regarding DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to examine. It led to states authorities enforcing more rigorous rules in these instances. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell, after her stint working in Charleston as a reporter and co-anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving into Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent during weekends. Additionally, she is a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has covered such events including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of Pre-ShowArrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
